            This is John Conant of First Southern Baptist Church, regarding the Jr.High Youth group.  This is an exciting time for the Jr. High student group.  We have an opportunity to join the Sr.High on a trip January 13, to an event called the Rage Music Festival, at Castles ‘N’ Coasters in Phoenix.  We hope to see many of the students and their friends attend this event, with up-and-coming Christian bands and music, motivational speakers, and good clean fun at this Phoenix amusement park.  I’m looking forward to it being a fun time.  However, I need to stay mindful of the hope that their friends may accept the saving love of Christ through this event.  We also have some needs in order to make this event a success.

I ask you for prayer and for some of you to join us, to assist in leading and watching over the students on this trip.  I will need a confirmation of availability by Nov.19th if a total head count is less than 10, but by Nov.26th if that total head count is greater than 10 people.  Transportation will be via the large church bus leaving First Southern at 10am, and due to arrive back at the church late the same night, either at 11p or 1a.  The event cost is either $20, or $30 total admission including rides, per the website: http://www.extremefaithproductions.com/event6.htm.

 However, I would like to make the event more affordable at $10 for the event plus an additional $5 for the rides.

            I need you to please respond ideally by next week the 19th.  (I have to ask for time off from work myself!)  If enough people sign up then we have until the 26th to determine who is going.  This is one of two big events we have planned for 2007;  the other is summer Youth Camp.
